As the calendar flips to October and we reach Week 4, NFL betting remains the primary source of action at online sportsbooks across the country. From spreads and totals to props and live bets, there are a seemingly endless supply of options and it makes for an exciting way to watch the games from Thursday until Monday.
It’s not that the rest of the NFL Week 4 schedule is poor, but everything else on the first weekend in October is getting overshadowed by the game at Gillette Stadium on Monday morning (AEDT).
Tom Brady will make his 158th start at Gillette Stadium, but for the first time in his career, he will be on the visitor’s sideline, staring across at Bill Belichick.
It will be one of, if not the biggest regular season game in NFL history and will cap a big day of action.
All four teams from the very competitive NFC West will face off including the unbeaten Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals with the division lead on the line.
After a profitable Week 3 we are back with our previews and recommended plays for Week 4 games from the National Football League.
Washington Football Team at Atlanta Falcons
I really cant believe yet that the Falcons are underdogs here , since i find them a bit better than WFT. Not that WFT are not good enough, they even did much much better than i expected. Today one of this teams will be 1-3 and the other team will be 2-2 .
Falcons started terrible losing the week 1 opener trashed by the Eagles at home , then they performed much better against Buccs but still , Tom Brady and the team won easily. Both teams should thank NY Giants as Giants “sold” the win in the last moments of the game.
WFT started much better then I expected despite the results dont show that way. Heinicke hasn’t been bad in relief of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick has been on injured reserve for a hip subluxation since leaving early in the season opener, so Heinicke has gotten the chance to make a name for himself. He had some big throws in the win over the Giants, but he made a few major mistakes last week. Washington has nice stats for the away from home events as they won 4 of its last 5 on road. Still Backing WFT away this season for me is a waste of money .
Prediction: Falcons ML
Houston Texans at Buffalo Bills
This one is quite easy or maybe no. Bills are a hefty favorites having a huge -16 handicap and there is a reason for that. Texans are probably in the Top 3 weakest teams in the league , and Bills are huge Superbowl contender.
Bills crash bad teams, and it will be a case today .Buffalo will have another opportunity for an offensive tune up this weekend, Houston will not provide much resistance at all. Fresh off 10 days rest after mustering nine points at home to Carolina, the Texans will just hope that they can stay in this game long enough to keep viewers interested beyond halftime.
This game has the biggest line of the season.
Prediction: Buffalo Bills -16.5
Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins
Neither one of these teams has looked great through the first three weeks of the season. Miami was somewhat fortunate to beat New England in its first game, while Indianapolis has only stayed within one score in one of its games. Brissett was a decent signal caller during his time in Indianapolis. However, he has struggled to move the ball with the Dolphins. He averaged just 4.2 YPA against Buffalo and 4.4 YPA against Las Vegas. Brissett was unable to move the ball successfully until late in the game against the Raiders last week.
The strength of the Colts’ offense is in the offensive line, and the loss of Nelson alone should move the betting odds given that he is the best guard in the NFL.
Miami is not dealing with as many injuries, and this is a well-coached team. That makes the Dolphins the better play, and that’s why the line has moved in their favor on the news of the Colts’ injury situation.
Prediction : Miami -1.5
Tennessee Titans at New York Jets
Tennessee has the most predictable offense in the league. The Titans love to keep the ball on the ground with two-time NFL rushing leader Derrick Henry carrying the load. Most teams aren’t able to keep Henry in check unless they take an early lead and take the Titans out of their comfort zone, and the Jets are unlikely to succeed there.
The Jets should have a little more success on offense than usual. Tennessee doesn’t have a great defense, and New York will have the chance to move the ball in garbage time. The Titans will salt the game away with Henry, leading to a comfortable win for the road team.
Prediction: Titans -6.5
