We only had a 1 week of football and still we can see how the teams will generally perform during the season despite its still early to say. Anyways the Chiefs and Bucs are still good and still good and still favourites to repeat the SuperBowl. The Chiefs strafed the Texans despite not playing close to their best, while the Jaguars shocked just about everyone by upsetting the Colts. Washington battered Carson Wentz and rallied from 17 points down to stun the Eagles, and the Lions remained the Lions, in particularly cruel fashion. Year two of Aaron Rodgers and Matt LaFleur’s partnership got off to a roaring start, while game one of Tom Brady and Bruce Arians’ union did not. For some teams, the second game is already a pivotal one, so let’s take a look at this week’s matchups.Lets see how the Week 2 will perform.
As every week we will carefully select, preview and predict the scores and since we went on a superb score with 5 out of 6 predictions, we will keep the same strategy predicting 6 games every week. Thursday night football was a bad beat after loosing our bet in the last second so lets see how Sunday goes.
Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins
Lets open the Sunday football with this game. Miami is a perfect team for Bills at the moment in order to avoid the 0-2 start. After a surprising loss at the opener at home against Steelers now they must avoid another melting down in steamy Florida. Should the Bills avoid turnovers and penalties, they should have no problems brushing aside a Miami team they have won their last five against.
We saw Miami’s path to victory in the early stages this season last week, and they will be hoping that they can force the Bills into some mistakes that prevent their high flying offence can’t get going.
We intend to avoid betting on the spread or moneyline on this game after the stats and trends makes us super exited for our final bet prediction. Following stats and trends are important so lets share.
- Buffalo has won seven of its last eight games when facing Miami.
- The point total has gone OVER in five straight games played between both teams.
- The Dolphins are 15-0 OU since December 2015 when they won by 1-5 points last game and their opponent did not lose by more than 24 points in their last game.
Prediction : Over 47.5
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
Both teams opened the season with a win. Saints welcomed Green Bay Packers at home and trashed them 38-3 allowing only one field goal. On the other side Panthers opened the season at home with the Jets and won but they were totally unimpressive in that win .
Former Jets QB Sam Darnold enjoyed his first week of freedom with a win over his former team in Week 1. Christian McCaffrey gained a total of 187 yards rushing and receiving (9 catches) in his return after injury.
Jameis Winston lit up the Packers in Jacksonville, throwing 5 TDs with no picks. The Saints smashed Green Bay 38-3 and Alvin Kamara “only” had 83 yards rushing. Winston threw for 400 yards the last time he played at Carolina. And now he can see. The Saints have been hit with a slew of positive COVID-19 tests, affecting much of the coaching staff. Carolina might not quite have the same level of talent as New Orleans but they are scrappy and know how to play the Saints close. The visitors will still get the job done but it won’t be a blowout.
Prediction : New Orleans Saints -3.5
Cincinnati Bengals at Chicago Bears
Another interesting game in which we had totally different teams in the season openers. Chicago at Los Angeles were trashed by the Rams , while Bengals needed overtime to win against the favoured Vikings coming to the game as an underdog.
Today this is a very entertaining and hard to predict game as the public is 50%- 50% on how the final outcome will be. At the moment Bengals look as a much better team but nothing is that easy in NFL . The Bears are lucky to be 1-0 after rallying from 17 points down in the fourth quarter against Detroit, and having the Lions’ D’Andre Swift drop the winning touchdown pass despite being wide open with under 10 seconds to play.
A close game with advantage on the Bengals.
Prediction : Bengals +3.5
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
We had a lot and a lot of dilemmas should we go with this game or not. Tampa Bay enjoyed a win but they had troubles getting it against the Cowboys so they needed a last quarter comeback to seal it. However Bucs are not even close to the power they had the last week as we all know how much much better they are. On the other Side, Falcons are seeming poor and that affected their 2 field goals with no touchdown in the blowout they got by the Eagles in the opener. This two teams love to get to each other and score points and touchdowns as they ve gone over on all of the last six games.
Prediction : Buccaneers -12.5
