Week 5 is already underway with some breakfast football getting Sunday started. This followed a wild Rams win over the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football that saw Russell Wilson go down with a finger injury that is expected to cost him six weeks of football. Week 5 of the NFL season could be a make or break week for several NFL teams. The Week 5 schedule features a pair of high-profile playoff rematches from last season, and a potential thriller on the West Coast on Sunday afternoon.
The AFC championship rematch between the Chiefs and Bills is huge on Sunday Night Football, which has produced some of the best games of the season. That trend continues in a battle of two teams hoping to be the top seed in the AFC.
Keep an eye on the 4:05 p.m. ET matchup between the Browns and Chargers, too. Both teams are trying to stay in tough division races, and the quarterback matchup between Justin Herbert and Baker Mayfield should produce a thriller.
Our weekly picks suggestion started unsuccessful with the Rams at SeaHawks prediction, but lets focus now on the sunday football games.
Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers
This is a super tricky game , as the pitchers for both teams are still unknown. We could have a Bridgewater-Big Ben matchup, but we could also have a Drew Lock-Mason Rudolph battle, or some combination of the four signal callers.
Denver is 3-1 after 4 weeks, they had a 3-0 start and then got trashed by the Ravens losing it with an easy 7-23 in a game that they really were unable to make anything interesting to return in for the game. Broncos are in a superb 4 out of 4 UNDERS and we also believe they will continue in this matter today.
Steelers look terrible in the past 3 games, after the surprise in the season opener beating the Bills, they lost 3 in a row and are about to take the 4th loss tonight. Both defense and offense are a problem , having the future hall of famer Big Ben looking slow in the passing but however the public is on the Steelers side for this one.
We are going against the public bettors.
Prediction: Denver ML
Green Bay Packers at Cincinnati Bengals
Yes another tricky game but lets leave the easy games for later. Packers , a superbowl contender, against Bengals, a red hot young and team with a bright future. Bengals enter the game as short time underdogs (-3) while the Packers looking for their 4th straight win enter as favourites.
Packers opened the season with almost no pre-season preparations and after they got trashed by the Saints (38-3) they bounced back, beating the Lions, 49ers and Steelers. Aaron Rodgers is 54-29-1 against the spread (ATS) as a one-score favorite in his career. That’s a 65.1% cover rate. And remember, that’s even with the books pushing the line a little towards Green Bay as a public team and knowing you want to bet on Rodgers — and he’s winning and covering anyway.
Bengals as we said are young and team with a bright future, they have successful start with a 3-1 score, but they played against an average teams so far.
Prediction: Green Bay Packers -2.5
Miami Dolphins at Tampa Bay Buccaners
A Florida clash. The most likely outcome here is the one the bookmakers are expecting too: a comfortable Tampa Bay win. Miami isn’t scoring. The Dolphins have scored 62 points all season, and 11 of them came on the last play or in overtime. If they only hit their average of 15.5 points per game, the Bucs just need to get to 25 points to cover this. Tampa Bay hasn’t done that the last two games but had scored 30 or more in nine straight games before that.
Prediction: Tampa Bay -10.5
Chicago Bears- Las Vegas Raiders
This is perhaps our last time to play on Bears side as we had few slips in the prediction while supporting Bears. Las Vegas Raiders surprised many people with their good plays having their signal caller Carr being one of the best quarter backs in the league so far being the top passer in NFL for the first 3 rounds, throwing at least 380 yards in every of those 3 games, to finish struggling in the week 4 with under 200 yards against the Chargers.
Bears were trashed in both of their away games this season with 20 points losing by both Browns and Rams. We believe their third away game will be much much better then the previous two and thats why we are going to take advantage of the odds and the handicap in this game.
We believe even that this will be a huge upset, and the Bears will take the win .
Best bet: Chicago Bears +5.5
